St. Thomas college started in 1919 under the affiliation of the University of Madras. BA Statistics Started 1955 under the Department of Maths and in 1958 BA Courses converted into BSc courses. The Department of Statistics established in 1984. In 2018 B.Voc Data Science course has been started.
