Criminology Department St. Thomas College Thrissur



Criminology Department is one of the newly established programmes in St. Thomas College Thrissur. The department is established on 2019 July. And running a three year BA program in criminology and police science. The aim of establishing this course is to train the young minds to reduce the crime rate and aware them through a systematic and syllabus oriented course. Thereby hope it helps to reduce the crimes in society and can build a peaceful environment.

B.A. Criminology and Police Science is a study of the aspects related to crime and its investigation. This course makes students to expert in examining and analysing a crime scene and fins out some inference and conclusion from it about the mode of crime. Criminology is a science, that is closely related to sociology and psychology.

Criminology has a good career scope now and in future which has great importance. In this career, you will get a high salary package and goodwill thought the career. A degree holder can work both in the public and private sectors in various field.


As a graduate of a police science degree program, you may pursue a career as an enforcement officer in state and local government firms. Also, get chances in state and central police force.
