Commerce Department of St. Thomas College Thrissur


The degree course in Commerce and the department of commerce started in 1957 under the Mahatma Gandhi University. And the post-Graduate course is affiliated to Calicut university during 1968. Later the college decided to start Tourism and Travel Management as a vocational Degree course under the UGC Scheme in 1994.

 Tourism and Travel Management course later was changed to Banking and Insurance Specialization. Now the Department of commerce headed with four major courses. The department has eminent faculties with experience from various fields. 

 The students of Commerce departments are the driving force of the entire department and college. Those bright and efficient students are the assets of St. Thomas College. They have conducted various cultural events regarding their Association day. And always actively participated in college cultural activities also.
