The department of social work started on 12th November 2002. And offers a Master degree in Social work with a specialization in Psychiatrists and social work rural and urban community work with 20 inmates.

The mission of St. Thomas College, social work department is to develop a dedicated, competed and confident manpower through theoretical applications. and the objective is to study various works of social works to improving the human living standard through awareness programmes. Aware people about their capabilities and talents then helps to overcome the current situation by facing the problems.

Also, try to give practical training in various field of social work. Ensure the economic status of our society and engage students to interact with people different age category, economic category, etc. The experience they gained from these activities is their lessons.
